Projection Mapping Barcelona

Barcelona has embraced the growing popularity of video mapping, hosting numerous shows that have become an important part of its cultural scene. With its rich architecture and vibrant artistic community, the city has become a key destination for projection mapping events and festivals such as Llum BCN and La Mercè. Based in Barcelona, our studio has proudly contributed to the development of this artistic practice over the past decade.

• Axioma is a stereoscopic 3D mapping show where each eye receives a slightly different image, creating a single three-dimensional effect through special glasses. Inspired by geometry and its fundamental forms, points, lines, planes and surfaces, the piece proposes an immersive audiovisual journey through shapes and geometric transformations. First presented at Llum Barcelona 2016, Axioma has since been projected in several cities including Rome, Eindhoven and Binghamton (NY).

• We developed Climate Immersive, an adaptation of our original mapping project Climate, presented during the Media Server Sessions at IDEAL Barcelona | Digital Arts Center. The installation explores two possible futures shaped by climate change: one where humanity achieves harmony with nature, and another marked by environmental collapse.
• Through projection mapping and immersive visuals, the piece invites viewers to reflect on the consequences of our actions and the urgent need for sustainable change. By transforming the space into a dynamic audiovisual environment, the project encourages awareness and dialogue around the future of our planet.

We also took part in the Mobile World Congress with Totogi Immersive that was held in Barcelona in 2021. We created a 360-degree projection mapping that spanned 215 square meters. Designed to showcase the innovative potential of public cloud technology for telecommunication operators, the immersive room offered visitors a captivating journey through a visually stunning world of technological advancement. With cutting-edge projection and sound design, visitors were transported into a virtual landscape that demonstrates the transformative capabilities of the public cloud.

Barceló features a central screen, an immersive projection mapping and excellent sound design to deliver a fully immersive room. As visitors enter the space, they will be captured with a visually striking video mapping and interactive technologies designed to allow users to control the visual content using arm movements or a smartphone app. The purpose of this remarkable audio visual room design is to transform visual material into an immersive workspace for users. By stimulating their visual, auditive and motorial perception, it invites audiences to become active participants and to interact with information in new and interesting ways.
