Espai Cràter
001
- Onionlab presents “Crater 360º,” an immersive experience at Espai Cràter in Olot. This experience invites visitors on a fascinating journey through four different volcanoes, offering a unique perspective on the natural phenomena that shape our planet.
002
- In just three minutes, spectators are transported from the ocean depths to a frozen volcano, through a tropical jungle, and ending at Jupiter’s moon Io. Using 3D mapping, projections, LED lights, and surround sound, the installation creates an educational and inspiring atmosphere. This combination of technology and art transforms the experience, showcasing geological processes in a visually dynamic way.
003
- The journey begins with an underwater volcanic eruption. Viewers dive below the surface to explore lava formations (pillow lavas). Then, the camera travels to Antarctica, where a volcanic eruption can be seen within a glacier. Visitors explore caves with stalagmites and stalactites, offering a spectacular contrast between ice and fire.
004
- The next stage takes them to a coastal jungle transformed by a hydromagmatic eruption, showcasing nature’s ability to regenerate after destruction. Finally, the journey culminates at Jupiter’s moon Io, where viewers witness volcanic eruptions influenced by the moon’s gravity and chemical properties.
005
- “Crater 360º” combines science and art. Thanks to collaboration with expert volcanologists and the use of tools like Maya 3D, Unreal Engine, and Cinema 4D, a visually captivating experience has been created. An immersive journey between art and technology that will help you better understand the natural phenomena shaping our world.
