Palacio de la Magdalena

001
  • For the anniversary of the Menendez Pelayo International University, we created a piece that celebrates the university as a beacon of knowledge for society.
002
  • Last 23rd and 24th August, Onionlab presented a mapping projection to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the UIMP, on the facade of Palacio de la Magdalena in Santander. The commemorative event at the Palacio de la Magdalena is a testament to the UIMP’s enduring legacy and its continued relevance in today’s rapidly changing world. By bringing together scholars, students, and thought leaders, we celebrate the university’s contributions to scholarship, research, and global understanding.

  • The UIMP was the beacon of knowledge during many summers in Santander. Now we illuminate the façade of the Palacio de la Magdalena to honor how the UIMP, 90 years later, continues to enlighten the way.As the UIMP marks its 90th anniversary, we reflect on its profound impact on higher education and cultural exchange. For nearly a century, the university has served as a hub for intellectual discourse, fostering collaboration and innovation across disciplines. Its commitment to academic excellence and international cooperation has made it a symbol of enlightenment and progress.

  • Unamuno, who once was teaching at UIMP, said that we are memory and that all memory is hope. We wanted to generate a good memory and experience for all those attending, a tribute to the UIMP from the light, which is always the best way to overcome the darkness.
005
  • In honoring the UIMP’s rich history, we also look to the future, recognizing the importance of education in shaping a more inclusive and sustainable world. As we illuminate the façade of the Palacio de la Magdalena, we not only pay tribute to the past but also inspire hope for generations to come, reminding us that knowledge is the key to a brighter tomorrow.
