Paradoxa Immersive space
001
- We showed Paradoxa Immersive, an adaptation of our original mapping project, Paradoxa during the Media Server Sessions at IDEAL Barcelona | Digital Arts Center in November and December 2023.
002
- Paradoxa is a journey through time, a temporal paradox, in which knowing the present, we travel to the past in order to modify it by affecting what will happen in the future and, in this way, arrive at the paradox
003
The imagery of ‘Paradoxa’ comprises intricate structures, imagined spaces, mechanisms, and time machines, evoking a powerful sense of moving through different time periods. Viewers are invited to immerse themselves in a paradoxical temporal experience, where they may feel ensnared in a web of time.
004
Ontological paradoxes manifest when time travel occurs, resulting in contradictions.
- The paradox of predestination ensues when a time traveler becomes ensnared in a cycle of events predetermined to repeat themselves. ‘Paradoxa’ offers a timeless cycle transporting us through past, present, future, and beyond, hinting at an uncertain future.
005
- Time travel has long fascinated people, whether as a narrative device, logical puzzle, or field of study in physics and philosophy. We want the spectators to ask themselves questions: Can we shape our future through our present inquiries? Can we alter our present by traveling into the past? Could our existence cease if we alter our past?
